Hi Richard, Welcome
to my blog, I’m happy meet you and introduce you to my readers. Let’s get
started.
Title, genre, format
(ebook, paperback):
My books are written for Young Adults of all ages. They are
fun adventures that adults will also find enthralling.
Leap of Faith -
eBook and paperback
Trouble With Swords -
eBook and paperback
Tell me about your
book/story:
The books are the first in the Temporal Detective Agency
series. Each book is a standalone adventure. The series charts the adventures
of a detective agency that’s travels in time solving cases. The Agency is
mostly made up of people from the court of King Arthur’s Camelot and includes
Arthur himself, Merlin, Marlene (Merlin’s sister), Tertia and Unita (two teenage
girls from Camelot), Sir Galahad and sir Gawain. The adventures are told by
Tertia with humour, and many of the characters are not as legend would have
them. For instance, Merlin is a woman, Galahad is a restauranteur and celebrity
chef and Gawain is the squire of a small village in Wales.
Because the Agency can travel in time and go anywhere, they
visit Camelot (obviously!), Elizabethan London, South Wales in the 18th
century, Ancient Rome and Cleopatra’s Egypt, as well as solving cases such as
the mystery of the Mary Celeste, the theft of the biggest diamond in the world
and the disappearance of Nelson’s statue in London.
The third book in the series will be out next year.
What is the one thing
you’d like people to know about you (or, what is your secret superpower):
I’m not really a 14-year old girl!
And just a few fun
questions:
Pen or Computer:
Computer every time. Actually laptop with my cocker spaniel
draped round my shoulders!
Pen every time for signing books though!
Best writing snacks:
A cup of coffee a 4 Rich Tea chocolate coated biscuits. Oh,
and a doggy treat for my spaniel!
Craziest thing you’ve
done for story research:
Me? Crazy? I’m a 14 year old girl. I don’t do crazy!
Where can people find
your book/story:
My books can be bought in any good bookshop (and some bad
ones) in the UK. Bookshops in the USA can get them through their distributors.
Both books are on Amazon in most countries as Kindle eBooks
and paperbacks.
